Keys
You receive two vehicle keys.
If a key is lost or mislaid, consult
the notes on the electronic im-
mobiliser (EWS) (
Ignition switch, fuel filler cap lock
and seat lock are all operated
with the same key.

If you wish you can arrange to
have the cases and the topcase
fitted with locks that can be
opened with this key as well.
Consult a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad retailer.
Engaging steering lock
Turn the handlebars all the way
to the left.

Turn the key to position 1
while moving the handlebars
slightly.
Ignition, lights and all function
circuits switched off.
Steering lock engaged.
Key can be removed.
Switching on ignition
Turn the key to position 1.
Side lights and all function cir-
cuits switched on.
Engine can be started.
Pre-Ride-Check is performed.
