The following procedures describe how to select Finishing settings.
Reminder
The "Offset" Finishing setting is available only if the optional separator has been installed.
2.12.1

Separating copies by sets ("Sort" setting)

As the factory default, "Group" is selected.

If "Yes" is selected under "Offset" when the separator is not installed, printed copies will be fed out and
sorted in an alternating w and v pattern if the following conditions are met.
Either two or more copies or two or more sets have been specified to be copied.
Paper of the same size and type is loaded with the w orientation and with the v orientation in at least
two different paper trays, including the bypass tray.
The "Auto Paper" setting is selected.
The "Mixed Original" setting is not selected.
Paper of size A4, A5, B5, B6 or 16K is used. (The size of paper that can be used differs depending on
the paper tray that is loaded.)

If "Tray 2" was selected as the output tray and "Yes" is selected under "Offset" while the separator is
installed, printed copies are fed out and stacked on top of each other with each set shifted to separate
it. For details on specifying the output tray setting, refer to

In the Basic screen, touch [Finishing].
The Finishing screen appears.
