SECTION 5: MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect power
to the machine before
performing maintenance.
Failure to do this may
result in serious person-
al injury.
Schedule
For optimum performance from your machine,
follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any
specific instructions given in this section.
Daily Check:
•
Loose mounting bolts.
•
Damaged saw blade.
•
Worn or damaged wires.
•
Any other unsafe condition.
Cleaning
Cleaning the Model G0734/G0735 is relatively
easy. Vacuum excess wood chips and sawdust,
and wipe off the remaining dust with a dry cloth.
If excessive sawdust accumulates around the
motor, remove the arm guard and remove the
sawdust with a vacuum.

Lubrication
The upper and lower arms have two sleeve bear-
ings each that require lubrication with SAE 20 Wt
oil after every 8 hours of machine use.
To lubricate the sleeve bearings:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Remove the plastic caps over the sleeve
bearings to expose their ends (see Figure
32).
Bearing Ends
Figure 32. Plastic caps removed to expose
sleeve bearing ends.
3.
Lay the saw on its side as flat as pos-
sible, then apply a generous amount of light
machine oil to the two cups around the bear-
ing ends. Let the oil seep into the bearings for
an hour or two.
4.
Wipe off the excess oil, turn the saw over,
and repeat Step 3 to the remaining two bear-
ings.
5.
Replace the plastic caps before beginning
operation to keep dust and debris from reach-
ing the bearings.
