CHANGING THE WIDTH
ADDITIONAL WIDTH
ADJUSTMENTS FOR TILTING
AND NON-TILTING ORBITS
Changing the Width of the Foot
Activated Wheel Lock
(FIGURE 1)
NOTE: The width of the foot activated wheel lock can
only be changed when changing the width of the base
frame. Refer to CHANGING THE WIDTH OF THE
ORBIT in PROCEDURE 5 of this manual.
1. Remove the mounting screw that secures the cross-
bar to the release lever.
2. Repeat for opposite release lever.
3. Secure NEW crossbar to release levers with existing
mounting screws. Securely tighten existing hardware.

Changing the Width of the Seat Plate
Assembly (FIGURE 2)
NOTE: The width of the seat plate can only be
changed when changing the width of the Orbit. Re-
fer to CHANGING THE WIDTH OF THE ORBIT in
PROCEDURE 5 of this manual.
1. Remove the adjustable height pivot tubes and
inserts from each end of the existing
crossmember.
2. Remove the two (2) mounting screws that se-
cure the existing crossmember to the seat plate.
3. Secure the NEW crossmember to seat plate with
the existing two (2) mounting screws. Securely
tighten.
4. Install the inserts and pivot tubes into the NEW
5. Perform one (1) of the following:
Crossbar
Wheelchair
Frame
NOTE: On non-tilting models, the non-tilting rods
are still attached but are not shown for clarity.
