7.6 Replacing the Print Head
You can easily remove and replace the damaged or worn down print head.
WARNING
• Do not touch the power button, connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands. Doing so could cause
electric shock.
• Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet before you replace the print head.

Make sure that the printer is in power off
mode, then disconnect the power cord
from the AC outlet.

Open the top cover.
CAUTION
• Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of
the cover.

Turn the head lock lever clockwise to
unlock the print head.
CAUTION
• The print head and its surrounding are hot after
printing. Be careful not to get burned.
• Touching the edge of the print head with bare hand
could cause injury.
