  • Page 81: Download Font Settings

3.2.4 Download Font Settings (CL4NX/CL6NX/CL4NX Plus/CL6NX Plus/ PW4NX/S84NX/S86NX only) You can download the fonts installed on Windows to your printer. Normally, when sending a layout using Windows fonts via the driver, the specified font is sent to the printer as graphic data. If you use a download font for your layout, it will send the character code instead of the graphic data when printing. On the printer, the font corresponding to the transmitted character code is called and printed. This reduces the size of the transmitted data, which can be expected to improve throughput.
  • Page 82 3. Select the fonts you want to download to the printer and click [Download]. 4. Confirm that the download font is registered and click [OK]. When layouts using download fonts are sent via the driver, it will improve throughput and reduce printing time.
  • Page 83 Note: Some Windows fonts have license terms (such as paid third-party fonts). You must comply with the license terms for those fonts.
