Playing back clips

Display the thumbnail display screen.

With cross cursor operation, move the
cursor (yellow frame) to the target clip.

Press
.
Playback starts from the clip where the cursor
is positioned. When this clip has finished
playing back, the subsequent clips are played
back in turn, and when the last clip has been
played back, the thumbnail screen is restored.
When "TEXT MEMO" is allocated to [USER]
(Page 97), text memos can be added during
playback. (but shot marks cannot be added)
When playing back a clip, there is no need to select it (provided that the bluish-green frame is displayed
on the thumbnail).
It is not possible to play back clips for which the
(Page 37) is displayed.
The clips whose clip numbers are displayed in red cannot be played back.
By changing the thumbnail display setting (Page 38), you can play back only the clips you have selected,
or play back only the clips in which text memos have been inserted, for instance.
If you press
while playing back the clip, the playback stops and the thumbnail screen is restored.
If the playback is stopped, the cursor position moves to the clip played back just before this clip.
The next playback start position is determined according to the setting menu: "THUMBNAIL"–"SETUP"–
"PLAYBACK RESUME" (Page 39).
If you play back various formats (AVC-Intra100, AVC-Intra50, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO, DV),
the images and sounds are distorted between clips. This is not a malfunction.
Easy playback of clips stored on the external hard drive is available also. Refer to "Easy playback of clips
on the hard drive (For viewing materials)" on page 78.
If you change the thumbnail display screen to the text memo display, you can start playback from the text
memo position. Refer to "Playback from the text memo position" on page 60.
The unit does not support hot swap playback (Switching cards while playing back the continuously
recorded clips which were recorded onto multiple cards).
If the clips in AVC-Intra50 and AVC-Intra100 formats are played back, they are not output to the
DVCPRO/DV input/output connector (IEEE1394).
