Cleaning the oil screen

Warning
Danger of scalding Engine oil and gear oil get very hot when the motocycle is driven.
Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. If you scald yourself, hold the affected area under cold water immediately.
Warning
Environmental hazard Problem materials cause environmental damage.
Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

Removing the oil filter

Warning

Place a suitable container under the engine.
Loosen the plug
Remove plug
Completely drain the remaining engine oil.
Thoroughly clean parts and sealing area.
Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
Fit and tighten plug

Place a suitable container under the engine.
Remove screws

Pull the oil filter insert
Circlip pliers reverse (51012011000)
Completely drain the engine oil.
Thoroughly clean parts and sealing area.

with a few light hammer blows.
