Defining the location and size of the binding edge
Place the originals in the automatic feeder. Make sure you place the originals

in the correct position (
Indicate whether the originals are 1-sided or 2-sided and choose 2-sided copies

using the 'Original' and 'Copy' function buttons.
The binding setting is not useful when 1-sided copies are chosen.
Note:
Open the 'Extra' section.

Select the 'Copy binding' settings.

Press the 'Binding' function button in order to define the binding edge of the

copy.
If required, press the 'Margin shift' function button to specify a margin shift
6
for the front page and/or back page of your copy. Use the arrow buttons in order
to alter the margin (max. –1 inch or max. +1 inch). Refer to 'Altering the
margin (image shift)' on page 59 and 'Stapling copies' on page 36 also.
