Working with Playlists

You create a playlist to playback specific media files in a specific order. A playlist can contain
video files, audio files, picture-only videos, or photos, as well as output triggers.
You can create three types of playlist:
Simple – Plays immediately when selected.
Timed – Plays at specified times.
Interactive – Plays when triggered by an external device (via contact closure), such as
someone pressing a button at a museum to view a video about a particular exhibit.
In any playlist, you can:
Create photo slideshows with one or more audio files.
Assign a specific audio file to play with a picture-only video file.
Assign outputs that allow control of external equipment, such as turning on/off a light or
raising/lowering a video screen.

Creating Playlists

1. Open the user application, and then select the PLAYLISTS & MEDIA tab.
2. If no playlists have been created for this unit, the application asks you to choose the type
of playlist you want to create.

If this screen does not appear and you are taken directly to the playlists and media
screen, it means there are already some playlists for the unit.
