Connection to a TV

¢ For a TV equipped with a video input or S-Video input terminal
¢ For a TV equipped with component video input terminals
• If the TV to which the player is to be connected is compatible with progressive scan video, connect to
the component video input terminals.
• The DVD-2930's progressive output (525P/625P) is compatible with Macrovision copy guard. With TVs
that are not compatible with the DVD-2930, the picture may be affected. In this case, set
"COMPONENT VIDEO OUT" at "VIDEO SETUP" to "INTERLACED".
• For TVs not compatible with the progressive mode, set "COMPONENT VIDEO OUT" at "VIDEO
SETUP" to "INTERLACED".

• To improve picture quality, you can change the video signal output from the AV-1 terminal from "VIDEO"

to either "S-VIDEO" or "RGB" to suit the type of television you are using (

NOTE:
• Connect the DVD-2930's video output either directly to the TV or indirectly via an AV amplifier. Do not
connect it via a VCR (video cassette recorder).
Some discs include copy prohibit signals. If such discs are played via a VCR, the copy guard system
may disturb the picture.

the DVD-2930's digital audio output terminal.

• Playing a DVD recorded in DTS when connected to an AV amplifier (decoder) that is not DTS
compatible could result in noise that is unpleasant on the ears and could damage the speakers.
