Accessing the DN-V755 on a Corporate Network

The following sections describe how to access the unit on a corporate network.
Once you access the unit, you can open the user application and set the date and time,
change the unit's name, and create and play playlists.

Windows XP/2000

1. In Windows Explorer, double-click the My Network Places icon.
2. Double-click Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network > Workgroup.
The MediaPlayer1234 icon for the unit appears in this folder.
Alternatively:
1. Double-click the My Network Places icon.
2. Double-click the Entire Network icon, and then click the Entire contents link on the left
side of the screen.
3. Double-click Microsoft Windows Network > Workgroup.
The MediaPlayer1234 icon for the unit appears in this folder.
If you do not see the unit, ask your IT department to make sure your computer is
configured for Business Networking and that your workgroup name is set to
WORKGROUP.

Apple Mac

Note It is highly recommended that you use Apple Mac OS 10.4 or higher.
1. Open the Finder, and then select Network > Workgroup.
The MediaPlayer1234 unit appears in the Workgroup folder. (This may take a few
seconds.)
2. Double-click the MediaPlayer1234 icon.
If a login window appears, click Authenticate, and then change the user-name to guest
and click OK. Do not enter a password.
If you do not see the unit or you do not see the Workgroup folder, consult your IT
department to make sure the computer is on the same subnet as the DN-V755.
