Checking the Torque of the
Wheel Nuts
Service Interval: After the first 8 hours
Every 200 hours
WARNING
Failure to maintain proper torque of the wheel nuts
could result in failure or loss of wheel and may
result in personal injury.
Torque the front and rear wheel nuts to 85-100 ft.-lb.
(115-136 N·m) after 1-4 hours of operation and again
after 8 hours of operation. Torque every 200 hours
thereafter.
Note: Front wheel nuts are 1/2-20 UNF. Rear wheel
nuts are M12 x 1.6-6H (Metric).
Checking the Planetary Gear
Drive Oil
Service Interval: Every 400 hours
Check the oil level after every 400 hours of operation
or if external leakage is noted. Use high quality SAE
85W-140 wt. gear lube as a replacement.
The capacity of the system is approximately 16 oz. (0.5 l).
1. With the machine on a level surface, position the
wheel so that the check/drain plug (Figure 42) is at
either the 3 or 9 o'clock position.
1. Check/drain plug (3 or 9 o'clock position)
2. Remove the plug on the planetary (Figure 42). Oil
should be at the bottom of the check plug hole on
the back side of the brake.
