4.14 Adjusting the Camber Tube

WARNING!
– Camber tube clamps - Make sure the clamp screws
are securely tightened before using the wheelchair,
otherwise injury or damage to the wheelchair may
occur.
Stand behind the wheelchair to determine left or right.
DETAIL "A" — SIDE VIEW

Loosen, but DO NOT remove, the socket head clamp screws
in the camber tube clamps (Detail "A").
Using an "L" square B, rotate the axle tube until the flat edge of

the camber tube A is at a 90° angle with the ground/floor C.

Ensure camber tube is centered between clamps A.
This adjustment is made with the rear wheels attached
to the chair and all four wheels contacting the floor C.
If camber tube is not 0° degrees, then it MUST be
rotated so that the axle bushings are angled up at their
ends.

Securely tighten the socket screw in the camber tube clamps
(Detail "A").

Determine the toe in/toe out of the wheelchair. Refer to 4.15
Determining/Setting Toe In/Toe Out, page 51 .
