TOW BALL

WARNINGS
Never leave the detached tow ball
assembly unsecured inside the
vehicle. This would increase the risk
of injury in an accident.
When not in use, remove the tow ball
assembly from the vehicle.
Take special care when fitting the
tow ball assembly as the safety of
the vehicle and the trailer depends
on this.
Do not modify the trailer coupling.
Do not disassemble, repair or modify
the tow ball assembly.
Type 1
Inserting the tow ball assembly

WARNINGS
A trailer socket and the tow ball
assembly seat are provided
underneath the rear bumper. Turn
the trailer socket down through 90 degrees
until it engages in the correct position.
Make sure that the tow ball
assembly is fully engaged in the seat.
Towing
1. Insert the tow ball assembly in to the
seat.
Removing the tow ball assembly

1. Push the lever towards the centre of
the vehicle.
2. Turn the lever anti-clockwise to unlock
the tow ball assembly.
3. Remove the tow ball assembly.
Type 2

1. Tighten the bolts to 218±16 Nm.
