GLASS CRYSTAL BURNER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION (HZI390E / HZI390EB)
Disconnect unit from gas supply and allow unit to cool before removing
burner.
GLASS BURNER REMOVAL
1) If already installed, removed glass crystals and pebbles.
2) Remove fi ller sections from right and left sides of burner. Discard fi ller sec-
tion if panels are installed - see below.

3) Remove the 3 (some units may have 4) screws securing the burner feet
and into the Firebox fl oor - in locations shown below.

4) Lift the burner assembly with both hands - pull the burner gently out-
wards and up towards the front of the fi rebox.

GLASS BURNER INSTALL
1) Lift the burner assembly with both hands. Point the mixing tube towards
the rear of the fi rebox. Lean the rear of the burner assembly downward.
To properly position the burner, the mixing tube must fi rst situated onto
the mixing tube support. Partially lift the burner assembly so that the mix-
ing tube will then slide into the air shutter.
2) Lower the front edge of the burner assembly so that the burner front
mounting tab rests in the small slot in both the burner mounting bracket
left and right, near the front of the fi rebox. These tabs will not line up un-
less the mixing tube is inside the air shutter at the rear of the fi rebox.

Care must be taken when installing the burner into the fi rebox.
Do not damage, knock or scrape the pilot assembly.
The fl ame sensor and ignition lead are fragile and can be damaged

3) Place the Burner Cover Screen over the Burner Ports. Place the Pilot
Cover over the rear gap between the Burner and the Media Tray. This will
sit around the Pilot Provision.
4) Distribute the glass crystals throughout the Media Tray. The media should
be level with the side of the Media Tray.
** Do not to install glass or other media over the Pilot Provision.
