Basic Operation

Selecting the communication mode

The FTM-3200DR transceiver is equipped with the AMS (Automatic Mode Select) func-
tion which automatically selects from two modes of transmission corresponding to the
signal being received.
The transmit mode is selected according to the received signal so that C4FM digital sig-
nals, and analog signals are received and transmitted automatically.

To operate in fixed communication mode, press [ D/A ( GM )] key to switch the communi-
cation mode.
Each time [ D/A ( GM )] key is pressed, the communication mode changes in the following
order:

Analog FM Mode
