Probable cause
The batteries are not loaded properly.
The battery power is low.
The recorder is turned off.
The recorder is currently in Power Save mode.
The memory does not have enough space.
The card is unformatted.
The maximum number of files has been reached. Change to any other folder (☞ P.33).
The file is locked.
The SD card is locked.
The earphone is connected.
The volume level is set to [00].
The file is locked.

The recorder was shaken during recording.
The recorder was placed near a cell phone or
fluorescent lamp while recording or during
playback.
The microphone sensitivity is too low.
Action
Make sure that the polarity is correct (☞ P.12).
Charge or replace the batteries (☞ P.13).
Turn the power on (☞ P.18).
Press any button.
Erase unnecessary files or insert another card
