Charging by connecting to a USB connecting AC adapter
via USB cable
1 Connect the USB cable to the USB
connecting AC adapter (A514) (optional).

Plug the AC adapter into AC outlet.

While the recorder is in stop mode or

turned off, connect the USB cable to
the USB connector on the bottom of the
recorder.
• Charging is completed when [
[Battery Full] are displayed.

Charging the batteries using the docking
station
After loading the Ni-MH rechargeable batteries into the
recorder, you can charge them by using the docking
station in combination with the USB cable or the AC
adapter.
The "Standard" version of the DS-5500 does not include
the docking station and the AC adapter (optional).
Charging using docking station and AC adapter
Connect the AC adapter to the docking

station.
2 Firmly press the recorder all the way
into the docking station as shown in the
illustration.
