Table 2-1. Standard Beeper Definitions
A non-composite bar code was decoded (if decode beeper is enabled).
Power-on or reset. Occurs immediately after the scanner is turned on,
indicating that the system software is working properly. If three beeps
occur during normal operation, it is due to a reset and any work in
progress is lost. If this occurs often, contact the Symbol Services Division.
Correct entry scanned or correct menu sequence performed.
Keyboard parameter selected. Enter value using numeric bar codes.
Successful program exit with change in the parameter setting.
Input error, incorrect bar code, or "Cancel" scanned, wrong entry, incorrect
bar code programming sequence; remain in program mode.
Communication error.
ADF transmit error.
Both portions of the barcode have been successfully decoded (if "Single
Beep after both are decoded" mode is enabled).
Scanner decoded 2D portion first and 1D portion second (if "Beep as each
code type is decoded" mode is enabled).
Scanner decoded 1D portion first and 2D portion second (if "Beep as each
code type is decoded" mode is enabled).
Both portions of the barcode have been successfully decoded (if "Double
Beep after both are decoded" mode is enabled).
