3.2.2. Selecting the Reception Mode (Setting RX Mode)

1) Overview of the Reception Mode
Your machine may be in either one of the following two modes when receiving a
document from the other party. Select the appropriate mode according as how you
are going to receive the document.
Fax mode (Auto RX mode)
Select this mode when you use your machine mainly as a fax machine. When a
document comes in, your machine rings several times before starting an automatic
reception. The number of rings can be set as required. see"7.4.1 Setting No. of
Rings"➭P 7-21
TEL mode (Manual RX mode)
Select this mode when you use your machine mainly as a telephone. To receive a
fax document, pick up the Handset, if you hear a fax tone, press the Start Key and
hang-up to receive it manually. Note that at this mode you cannot receive a
document automatically.

1. Press the Utility key 5 times into the
