slightly, allowing yourself to make slight adjustment to the optical device.
Note 1:
While the optical device drive door is held open, press the Eject button on the front panel,
and you will see a black tab which can be activated by the Eject button. The Eject button
on the front panel is so designed that once a user press that button, the black tab will
touch the real Eject button on the front of the optical drive and cause the optical drive to
eject its disc tray. The black tab should have been positioned ideally when it was shipped
out of the factory. A user can slide the black tab to optimize its position.
Note 2:
When you install the optical drive, make sure that you don't push the drive all the way
toward the front panel so that the black tab is too close to the real Eject button on the
optical drive. If the optical drive is too close to the black tab, it will cause the optical
drive to eject the disc tray all the time. If the optical drive is too far away from the black
tab, it will not cause the optical drive to eject the disc tray. When install the optical drive,
make sure the optical drive is not too close and too far away from the real optical drive
Eject button.
Once the optical drive is positioned to its optimal location (generally as indicated by the
Arabic numeral 2), tighten the four screws on the right side of the optical drive.
