HDMI
A High Definition Multimedia Interface is an interface for the transmission of high resolution
digital video data as well as digital audio data.
Interlace
With interlace (interlaced timing), in half an image, only the odd lines (lines 1, 3, 5, ...) and
in the next half image only the even lines (lines 2, 4, 6, ...) are drawn. This method is the
basis of all contemporary video standards.
ISIPRO
The ISIPRO function is a TechniSat in-house service, through which the program list of your
TV set can be automatically kept up to date. To achieve this, a current programme list is
broadcast at regular intervals via satellite (ASTRA 19.2° East), and can be downloaded by
your TV set.
Channel
The frequency range within which a broadcaster (DVB-C, DVB-T, Analog CT) operates.
Coaxial cable
A connecting cable between LNB and TV set, for the transmission of received signals, for
power supply to the LNB/s as well as the transmission of DiSEqC control signals.
LNB/LNC

Low Noise Blockconverter = Receiver at the focal point of the satellite antenna, converter of
the frequency range of satellites into the intermediate frequency of the digital receiver/TV set.
LOF
Local oscillator frequency; stated in MHz or GHz; varies depending on the LNB and the fre-
quency range received.
Reception frequency of the digital receiver/TV set = Broadcast frequency of the satellite –
LOF.
