MACHINE INSTALLATION

MACHINE UNCRATING

Carefully check carton for signs of damage.
Report damage at once to carrier. Check contents
list below to ensure all standard accessories are
included. Batteries and battery charger are
packaged separately.
Carton Contents:
1 – Battery Hardware Package
1 – 3m Vacuum Hose
1 – Package of Paper Bags
1 – Cloth Bag
Batteries and charger are packaged separately.
Accessory Tool and Squeegee Kits are optional,
they must be ordered separately. To order kits see
page 4.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

NOTE: If planning to install Optional Squeegee
Kit, wait to install batteries until kit is installed.
See page 6 for kit instructions.
Recommended Battery Specifications:
Two 12 volt 105/130 amp hour deep cycle
batteries. Maximum battery dimensions are
18cm W (7") x 34cm L (13.5") x 25cm H (10").
BATTERY COMPARTMENT SIZE:
34cm L x 36cm W X 25cm D
Recommended Battery Charger:
230V–15 amp fully automatic battery charger.
To avoid any type of electrical hazard, which could
result in severe personal injury, exercise the
following warning statements when installing
batteries:
WARNING: Batteries emit hydrogen
gases, explosion or fire can result. Keep
sparks and open flame away.
WARNING: Battery acid can cause burns.
Wear protective gloves and shield eyes when
servicing batteries.
WARNING: When handling batteries or
working around batteries, NEVER place
anything on top of the batteries. This could
cause sparking and create an explosion
hazard.
1. Turn ON/OFF switch to off.

2. Open battery compartment, unlatch lower
latches and carefully tilt upper housing
backwards to floor. Remove loose battery
cables at bottom of compartment. (Figure 1)
3. Carefully install batteries into compartment
and arrange battery posts as shown.

4. Connect battery cables to batteries as shown.
Red to positive (+) and Black to Negative (–).
Use rubber boots provided to cover battery
post. (Figure 3)
