Removing the rear wheel

Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking due to oil or grease on the brake discs.
Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease, and clean them with brake cleaner when necessary.
Jack up the motorcycle. (
Remove nut
Remove washer

Withdraw the wheel spindle
forward.
Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain from the rear
sprocket.
Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the rear wheel out of the
swing arm.

Do not operate the foot brake when the rear wheel is removed.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-

aged.
Clean and grease wheel spindle
Long-life grease (
Lift the rear wheel into the swingarm, positioning it as far forward as possible, and
place the chain on the rear sprocket.
Insert the wheel spindle

Position chain adjuster
Check chain tension when installing the rear wheel. (
Make sure that the chain adjusters are fitted correctly on the adjusting screws.
Tighten nut

Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings lie on the brake disc

Remove the motorcycle from the work stand. (
