Driving Suggestions

I. Driving Operation
1) Before starting the vehicle
§
Before getting in, check the exterior of the
vehicle first.
§
Make sure parking brake is activated.
§
The direction switch should be on the "N"
position.
§
Adjust seat position, backrest angle and head
restraint height.
§
Adjust inner and outer rear view mirror.
§
Lock all doors.
§
Buckle-up seat belts.
§
Turn off unnecessary lights and accessories.
§
Switch ignition switch to "ON" position, check
all indicators on the instrument panel to verify
normal operating conditions and also check the
multi-function display.
2) Start the vehicle
§
Activate the parking brake lever.
§
Turn ignition-switch to " START " and hold it
there for a short period of time (less than 5
seconds normally).
§
When the electrical system makes a "click"
sound, then release the key, and the key will
return to the"ON" position.
§
The value of voltage, which is shown on multi-
function display,is over 60V;the vehicle start.
3) Running
§
Adjust the driving direction by controlling the
steering wheel.
§
Turn the direction switch to the "F" or "R"
position.
§
Release the parking brake and the parking
brake indicator light will go out. Press the
accelerator pedal slowly and the vehicle will
start to accelerate.
NOTE
Depressing the brake pedal after the vehicle
starts will prevent the vehicle from moving.
4) Starting on a slope
§
When the vehicle is stopped on a slope by
using the hand brake, press the accelerator and
release the hand brake slowly at same time.
§
The vehicle may slide a bit (less than 50mm) by
gravity, but the on-board controller will
determine the vehicle is attempting "middle
slope startup" and will output torque sufficient
enough to move the vehicle forward.
5) Regenerative braking
§
When the vehicle is moving, release the
accelerator completely, and the vehicle will
continue to move forward by inertia. The
controller reverts to "faint regenerate braking"

mode,and you will feel faint braking.
§
When the vehicle is moving, release the
accelerator completely and press the brake
pedal. In this case the controller activates
"strong regenerate braking", and you will feel
heavy braking.
WARNING
While the vehicle is moving, DO NOT turn
off the ignition switch.
2. Normal Driving Suggestion
§
While driving, do not keep your foot on the
brake pedal,which may cause the vehicle to stop
unexpectedly.
§
If there is surface water on the street higher
than the bottom of the vehicle, do not move
forward; if surface
water is lower than the
bottom of the vehicle, you can usually move
through the water by maintaining very low slow
speed.
NOTE
When driving in high winds or on rugged
roads,reduce vehicle speed.
