3. M-3 PCB (NCU)
–
This PCB contains NCU (Network Control Unit) circuit which controls signals between telephone
network and facsimile.
@ Hookup detection
@ Ring signal detection
@l Dial pulse generation
@l Driver for DP relays
@ Separation circuit for Transmission and Reception
– This PCB contains telephone circuit.
The following functions are included.
~ Line monitor

4. M-4 PCB (CIS DRIVER)
– This PCB contains interface circuit between CIS and main PCB (M-1).
5. M-5 PCB (TEL)
@ Ringer circuit
@ Speech network circuit
6. M-6 PCB (SUB)
@ Driver for CML
7. M-7 PCB (Power supply)
– This is a switching power supply and outputs +5V, -1 5V and +24V.
8. LCD display
– This contains 16 x 1 line LCD with segment and common driver circuit.
9. Thermal head
– This contains 1728 dots (8-dot/mm) of heat generating elements and their driver circuit.
10. Contact Image Sensor (CIS)
– CIS converts scanned image to electrical signal
11. Monitor speaker
– This is used for monitoring the line.
Monitor volume switch controls loudness of the monitoring sounds. It is mounted on the M-3 PCB.
12. Ringer Buzzer
– This is used for generating ringing sound and the loudness controls by the ringer switch mounted on
the M-3 PCB.
13. Handset
– This contains a microphone and speaker.
