Gaining Access to the Battery
The battery is located in the center cab section and is accessible from the underside
of the locomotive. To gain access to the battery the body must be remove from the
chassis.
Remove the 2 screws that support the swinging pilot at each end of the hood.
There is on screw on each end of the locomotive at the bottom of each end door.
Remove the 4 screws on the underside of the cab.
This will allow the cab to separated enough to unplug the battery and remove.
Install a new battery by plugging in the connector and inserting the battery into the
holder.
Reattach the body and chassis.
When replacing the screws under the end doors, make sure that the screws are
supporting the brackets for the swinging pilot.
Remove the 4 screws that attach the cab shell to chassis
