6 Operating the camera (PMP mode)

Operating the camera (PMP mode)
To use the Portable Media Player feature, firstly you must use a computer to create the
following two folders in the root folder of the microSD card used by the camera:
• the "MP3" folder: Once the folder is created, copy the MP3 files (*.mp3) you want to play
to this folder.
• the "PMP" folder: Once the folder is created, copy the MPEG-4 AVI video files (*.avi;
make sure to use the bundled video conversion software to convert video files into the
format compatible with the camera in advance) you want to view to this folder.
• To categorize MP3 and MP4 files, you can create up to 100 subfolders under each of
the above two folders.
• The maximum number of files in a folder is 100.
• The TV-out feature is not available in the PMP mode.
• The bundled video conversion software may not be able to convert some video files
that require additional codecs. Please download and/or purchase these codecs before
starting video conversion.
