    Touring Your Camera Checking the Package Contents Carefully unpack your kit box and ensure that you have the following items. Save the packaging in case you need to ship your camera for service.

    Preparing Your Camera for Use Inserting the Batteries The camera is powered by two AA batteries or rechargeable batteries (min. 1600 mAh/1.2V). Proper operation cannot be guaranteed if you use any other type of battery other than that noted above. 1.

    2.2.1 About Camera Memory The digital camera is equipped with internal memory. If the memory card is not inserted in the camera, all images and movie clips recorded by the camera will be stored in the internal memory. If the memory card is inserted, images and movie clips are stored on the memory card.

    • The focus area on the LCD monitor will light green when the camera is in focus. • If the shutter speed is slow or the possibility that image may be blurred, the shake warning icon may appear on the LCD monitor. To avoid it, use a tripod to stabilize the camera when recording images.

    3.6.4 Using the Self-timer and Burst Use the self-timer to set a delay from the time the shutter button is pressed to the time the image is shot.
