4. Starter relay
8 Disconnect the relay unit coupler from the
wire harness.
8 Connect the pocket tester(Ω × 1)and
battery(12V) to the relay unit coupler ter-
minals.
Battery(+)lead→
Blue/White terminal 1
Battery(–)lead→
Green/Yellow terminal 2
8 Check the starter relay for continuity.
Tester (+) lead→ 3 terminal
Tester (-) lead→ 4 terminal
5. Main switch
Refer to "CHECKING SWITCHS" section.
6. "START" switch
Refer to "CHECKING SWITCHS" section.
7. Engine stop switch
Refer to "CHECKING SWITCHS" section.

Replace the starter relay.
NO CONTINUITY
Main switch is faulty, replace it.
NO CONTINUITY
"START" switch is faulty, replace handlebar
switch (right).
Engine stop switch is faulty, replace it.
