What to do if ...

A fault may have been caused by a minor operating error, which you
can correct yourself with the help of the following instructions. Do not
attempt any further repairs if the following instructions do not help in
each specific case.

Repairs to the appliance should only be carried out by approved service
engineers. Improper repairs can cause injury or malfunction. If your
appliance needs repairing, please contact your local AEG Service Force
Centre.

Check whether:
– The pan is on the right cooking zone.
– The diameter of the pan base is too small for the cooking zone!
– The pan is suitable for induction cooking!
... j appears in the digital display?
– Check whether the cooking zone could be overheated.
For these checks turn the cooking zone off and let it cool down.
Try to switch the cooking zone on again after a few minutes with a
suitable pan on it.
– The automatic switch-off for the cooking zone has responded. You
can reactivate the cooking zone by turning it quickly off and then on
again.
