TROUBLESHOOTING

Trouble
When the ignition key is turned to "I", the engine
does not start.
The engine stops during operation.
The machine does not move when pressing the
pedal (2).
The main broom does not work.
The side brooms do not operate.
The dive system malfunction led (49) is fl ashing.

For further information, refer to the Service Manual, available at any Nilfi sk-Alto Service Center.

SCRAPPING

Have the machine scrapped by a qualifi ed scrapper.
Before scrapping the machine, remove and separate the following materials, which must be disposed of properly according to the
Law in force:
Batteries
Engine oil
Polyester dust fi lter
Main and side brooms
Plastic hoses and components
Electrical and electronic components (*)

Refer to the nearest Nilfi sk-Alto Center especially when scrapping electrical and electronic components.

The battery connector (46) is disconnected.
The engine oil level is low.
The fuel level is low.
The fuel does not reach the carburettor.
The hood is not properly closed.
The spark plug does not produce a spark.
The engine oil level is low.
The fuel level is low.
The parking brake is engaged.
When starting the machine with the ignition
key (82), the pedal (2) is pressed, or the
operator is not yet on the driver's seat.
The circuit breaker (47) is deactivated.
The main broom is not lowered.
The circuit breaker (48) is deactivated.
The drive system is malfunctioning.

Possible cause
Remedy
Connect the battery connector.
Add engine oil. (1)
Refuel. (1)
Check the connecting hose. (1)
Close the hood properly.
Clean/replace the spark plug. (1)
Add engine oil. (1)
Refuel. (1)
Disengage the parking brake.
Start the machine with the ignition key (82),
only after being on the driver's seat and
without pressing the pedal (2).
Reset the fuse (47) by pressing the relevant
switch.
Lower the main broom.
Reset the fuse (48) by pressing the relevant
switch.
To detect the failure, refer to the Service
Manual (at any Nilfi sk-Alto Service Center).
