Th e line must be properly sized and fi tted according to the installation codes. Upstream of the supply connection, the fi tter shall provide a manual shut-off valve.

WARNING: A minimum clearance of 1” to combustibles must be maintained on vertical pipe runs and 2” for horizontal pipe runs (sides and bottom 1”) Th e rigid vent systems use twist lock connections. Th is unit can be used with Selkirk (Direct-Temp), American Metal, Security Chimneys or Simpson Duravent 4” x 6-5/8” venting. Vent Restrictor (P/N 1851) Due to the extra fl ow produced by certain venting confi gurations a vent restrictor must be placed in the vent to maintain performance. All top vent installations over 20’ require the use of a 60% restrictor. Th e restrictor is installed in the exhaust of the appliance as shown in Figure’s 4, 5, and 6.

With the system on, and the fl ame level at the maximum in the appliance, pressing the Down Arrow Key once will reduce the fl ame height by one step until the fl ame is turned off .

Smart Th ermostat (Transmitter Operation) Th e Smart Th ermostat function adjusts the fl ame height in accordance to the diff erence between the set point temperature and the actual room temperatures. As the room temperature gets closer to the set point the Smart Function will modulate the fl ame down.

To activate this function use the Mode Key (Fig. 1) to index to AUX Icon (Fig. 16 & 17). Pressing the Up Arrow Key will activate the outlet.
