Basic Shooting Procedure

Press down the

the camera control unit to turn on the
power.
The power indicator lights in green.

Turn on the powers of the connected
devices.

Adjust the black balance.
For details, see "Adjusting the Black
Balance" on the right column.

Illuminate an object with proper
lighting.

Aim the camera to the object and
adjust the iris, focus and zoom.

Adjust the white balance.
For details, see "Adjusting the White
Balance" on page 30.

Adjust the settings as required.
For details, see "Adjusting and Setting
With Menus" on page 15.

Start shooting.

Adjusting the Black Balance

Adjust the black balance first, after turning
on the power of your camera.

If any menu is displayed on the screen,
press the
MENU button to remove
it.

If a color bar signal is displayed on the
screen, press the BARS button to
remove it.

Press the BLACK button.
Close the iris before pressing the button.
The black balance is automatically
adjusted.
While adjusting, the bars are displayed.
When the adjustment is completed, the
message "BLACK: OK" appears on the
screen.
Black balance adjustment errors
If the black balance adjustment is not
successful, the message "BLACK: NG"
appears on the screen. If this happens, take
the necessary measures and perform steps 1
through 3 again.
