Use the following S58 settings to control x2:

Disable x2
Force A-law mode
Note: A-law is required in all countries but the United States, Canada,
Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. If you are using your Courier
V.Everything in one of these countries, do not force A-law mode.
