Feature Keys on the Handset

You can program up to 15 feature keys on the 6757i CT handset with specific functions using the Aastra Web UI. In addi-
tion, up to 9 lines are available for use from the handset.
The following table identifies the default settings for the 15 keys on the Handset.

Description
Indicates no setting for the key.
Indicates the line number <N> is available for selection from the handset. Valid values for <N> are 1
through 9.
Indicates the key is configured to be used for intercom calls.
Indicates the key is configured to access the Directory List.
Indicates the key is configured to access the Callers List.
Indicates the key is configured as a Transfer key (Xfer) for transferring calls.
Indicates the key is configured to park incoming calls when pressed.
Indicates the key is configured to pick up parked calls when pressed.
Indicates the key is configured as a Conference key (Conf).
Indicates the key is configured for either Private or Public use. You can toggle between Private and
Public as required. Default is Public.
"Public" is the default setting on the Handset. The "Private/Public" option is available only when mul-
tiple handsets are paired with the same base.
In "Public" mode, all handsets paired with the same base can share calls. In this mode, a triangle indi-
cator illuminates in front of the Public label in the feature list on the Handset. You can toggle between
Public and Private as required.
The base station displays "Private" on a softkey allowing you to toggle between Public and Private.
In "Private" mode set on a specific Handset, all calls are made private to that Handset only. No calls
are shared.
Indicates the key is set to generate a flash event when it is pressed on the 6757i CT. The IP phone gen-
erates flash events only when a call is connected and there is an active RTP stream (for example, when
the call is not on hold).
