Changing Gold Spring Contacts in MEA2100 Headstages
7.5.1
1. Open the MEA2100 headstage, turn it upside down to have a better access to the gold spring
contacts in the lid. Place the device on a soft surface.
2. Grab the defective gold spring contact with a needle nose pliers and remove it upwards without
damaging the contacts on the left and on the right side.
3. Place a new gold spring contact into the hollow shaft of the old one.
4. Take the fixing tool for gold spring contacts and put the small end of the tool over the head
of the new gold spring contact straight from above.
5. Push the gold spring contact with the fixing tool into the shaft until the gold spring contact
is engaged.
