6-2 LA-5137 Compact Flash Adapter Integration Guide
WPA Supplicant Sources
The WPA supplicant is the IEEE 802.1X / WPA component used in the client stations. It implements key
negotiation with a WPA Authenticator and controls the IEEE 802.11 authentication/association of the
wireless LAN driver.
Supplicant sources will also include a LA-5137 "WPA driver", so that the WPA supplicant can work
seamlessly with the LA-5137 adapter.

Provides information needed to install and configure the software for the LA-5137 adapter.

Provides information to invoke the APIs (OIDs) to get or set information on the LA-5137 adapter.

Gives details on how the host interfaces with LA-5137 adapter.

Provides information on how to program the LA-51XX Linux Driver.

6.1.3 Software Installation

A tar.gz package will contain the driver sources for the LA-5137 adapter for Linux Red Hat 9 distribution. The
driver shall be compiled from the release package and installed (see README file). The

6.1.4 Linux Card Configuration
The LA-5137 adapter supports Wireless Extensions API in Linux. The OEMs can use the standard Wireless
Extensions API to configure the LA-5137 adapter.
