General safety instructions
The non-observance of the following safety instructions can cause bo1dily injuries or damages to
the machine.
1. The machine shall only be started and operated after having read the operating instructions, and only
by accordingly trained persons.
2.
Use the machine only for the intended purpose.
3. Do not operate the machine without the belonging safety devices.
4. Switch off main switch or pull out the mains plug before threading, changing bobbin and change of se-
wing tools (such as for example needle, sewing foot, throat plate, feed dog, and, if necessary, knife
and cutting block), for cleaning, maintenance work and when leaving the workplace.
In case of mechanically actuated clutch motors without actuation lock, wait until the motor stopped.
5. General maintenance work shall only be performed by accordingly trai'ned persons, and in accord-
ance with
the·
operating instructions.
6. Repair, conversion and maintenance work shall only be performed by specialists or accordingly trai-
ned persons.
7. Disconnect the machine from the vacuum line in case of maintenance and repair work
on
the pneuma-
tic components of the machine.
Exceptions are adjustment work and operation checkouts performed by accordingly trained persons.
8. Work on the electrical components must only be performed by skilled Blectricians or accordingly trai-
ned persons
.
9. Work on live parts and equipment is not allowed.
Exceptions in compliance with regulation DIN VDE 0105.
10. Conversion or variations of the machine shall only be performed in accordance with all safety regula-
tions.
