1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing DSL-1500G++ as your broadband access solution. This manual
helps you with the setup and configuration of your product.

1.1 DSL-1500G++ Overview

DSL-1500G++ G.SHDSL Router is designed for Small and medium-sized businesses to
access the Internet and remote office networks by providing a cost-effective high-speed
alternative to replace expensive leased-line services. DSL-1500G++ provides a
dual-channel SHDSL Loop, which is capable of full duplex and symmetric transmission rate
up to 2.3Mbps (2 wire mode) and 4.6Mkbps (4 wire mode), depending on the application
needed.
DSL-1500G++ is an ideal product for businesses and Internet Service Providers (ISP) to
provide LAN server and internet access to areas where copper pair shortages exist within
the public telephone network; and its flexibility makes it ideal for applications such as web
hosting, video conferencing and heavy two-way
data traffic needed in the business environment.
By providing user friendly and easily configured
interface, users can easily configure
DSL-1500G++ via TELNET, Web Management,
dip-switches and buttons on the back panel of DSL-1500G++.

1.2 Features

Rate and Reach Improvements
Supporting dual-channel SHDSL loop, which can offer up to 2.32 Mbps (2 wire mode), or
4.6 Mbps (4 wire mode) can reach customers as far as 20,000 feet from the Telco/PTT
office.
CO and CPE mode provided for point-to-point connectivity between two sites
2-wire / 4-wire Mode Selectable
2-wire and 4-wire Mode are selectable upon user's application scenario.
Better Power Management
Designed with low-power modes, providing statistical and overall power savings, it reduces
the transceiver power consumption according to the line characteristics.
