The mower is designed to operate and cut most efficiently at the preset governor setting. Do not change the engine governor settings or overspeed the engine. During the break-in period, Jacobsen recommends the following: During the first 50 hours of operation, a new engine should be allowed to reach an operating temperature of at least 140°F (60°C) prior to operation at full load.
