Registering To A Base; Compatible Bases; Registration Methods - Uniden XDECT 8005WP Series Owner's Manual

The accessory handset won't work until you register it to a base!

Compatible Bases

This handset is designed for use with Uniden's XDECT 8015,
XDECT 8015WP and XDECT 8055 bases. Other Uniden XDECT
bases may be compatible with this handset. Some features may
not be available when using the XDECT 8005WP with these other
models. For the most up to date list of which bases this handset is
compatible with, see our website.

Registration Methods

There are two different registration methods, but it's easy to figure
out which one applies to your handset and base. Answer question
to register the handset to one of the compatible bases.
Does the base have an LCD display?
1. On the base, open the menu and select
Register Handset.
Yes
The display should say Handset Registering.
2. On the handset, press and hold HASH(#) until the
display says Handset Registering (about 2 seconds).
1. Disconnect the base AC adaptor.
2. On the base, press and hold FIND while you reconnect
the adaptor.
No
3. On the handset, press and hold HASH(#) until the
display says Handset Registering (about 2 seconds).
After about 30 seconds, the handset display should say
Registration complete.
