    The.handset.is.powered.by.a.rechargeable.battery.pack.that.automatically.recharges.when.the.handset.is.placed. in.the.base..Unlike.your.typical.household.phone.bases,.your.new.waterproof.handset.uses.an.enclosed.charging. method.called.magnetic.inductive.charging..This.type.charger.allows.us.to.charge.your.handset.without.exposing. any.electronic.components;.therefore,.making.it.safer.to.use.around.water.or.in.highly.humid.environments. Connect.the.AC.adapter.to.the.DC.IN.9V.jack.and.to.a.20V.AC.outlet.that.is.not.controlled.by.a.wall.switch. Caution:.Use.only.the.Uniden.AD-800.adapter. Set.the.charger.on.a.desk.or.tabletop,.and.place.the.handset.in.the.charger.with.the.keypad.facing.forward.
