B. Install the Horizontal Stabilizer
1. Put the horizontal stabilizer in position on the
vertical stabilizer.
2. Install the four mounting plate attaching bolts.
3. Install the two bolts that connect the lower
mounting bracket to the upper mounting
bracket.
4. Install the bolt which connects the elevator
vertical control rod to the elevator horn.
5. Do a test for correct, full and free movement of
the elevator control. If necessary, adjust the
elevator control.
6. Install the horizontal stabilizer fairing.
- Install the four screws.

Torque to 15.2 lbf-ft (20.6 Nm)
Torque to 4.6 lbf-ft (6.24 Nm).
Torque to 1.2 lbf-ft (1.7 Nm). Make sure that
the fork of the elevator trim actuator
engages the spring mount on the control
rod.
Refer to Chapter 27-30.
