SCANNDY BASIC TYPE CRADLE

An optional charging and communication cradle (docking station) is a convenient accessory for
daily use of SCANNDY. The cradle has a built-in recharging circuit which allows recharging of a
spare Li-Ion battery and the SCANNDY battery simultaneously within 4 hours. Regular charging
time of the battery pack through DC power adapter is about 12~14 hours. The cradle also allows
users to link the SCANNDY unit to host computer through point-to-point RS232, Keyboard Wedge
or USB connection for data communication.
For PANMOBIL communication the cradle unit is also available with internal Ethernet
module, to connect the cradle directly to your local network or transmit and receive data via
Internet. This option allows users to access their local hosted data nearly anywhere in the world.
For communication between SCANNDY unit and cradle there are two methods available.
To send or receive data trough the RS232 connector in the cradle, just place the SCANNDY unit
into the cradle. For wireless communication the cradle unit is also available with an internal
Bluetooth Class I module. This allows the user to transmit or receive data within a wide range of
about 100 meter (depending on local environment).
