    For communication between SCANNDY unit and cradle there are two methods available. To send or receive data trough the RS232 connector in the cradle, just place the SCANNDY unit into the cradle. For wireless communication the cradle unit is also available with an internal Bluetooth Class I module.

    GUN-GRIP OPTION In addition to the ergonomic and compact design of the SCANNDYbasic unit PANMOBIL provides a robust gun-grip option. To connect the basic unit to the gun-grip, simply remove the basic battery cover, take out the basic battery and plug the gun-grip to the basic unit.

    GUN CRADLE FOR SCANNDY To provide the user with the same performance and flexibility which gives the SCANNDYbasic cradle unit, PANMOBIL offers a special made gun cradle which is designed to use with SCANNDYgun type unit. The gun type cradle unit provides the same features as the basic type cradle unit like flexible cable connections via RS232 cable, Keyboard Wedge cable, USB cable or Ethernet connection.

    USB Cable The cradle unit is now ready to operate. Before start working with the SCANNDY unit please charge the battery for at least 8 hours to make sure the battery is fully charged and provides it’s best performance.

    7.3 OPTION BARCODE The system software of SCANNDY decodes all major barcode symbologies including Code 39, Code 39 with full ASCII, Code128, Codabar, EAN, UPC, Code 93, Int 2of5, Standard 2of5, Matrix 2of5, ISBN/ISSN and Chinese 2of5. To set up barcode specific option highlight the BARCODE option in the system menu and press the LEFT navigation key to enter the barcode option menu.

    SET UP BLUETOOTH OPTIONS On SCANNDY units with built-in Bluetooth module you can set up the necessary Bluetooth settings in the system setup menu.     7.7 BLUETOOTH ACCESS KEY SETUP To protect the SCANNDY unit from unauthorized connection, you can set up an access key. If an other Bluetooth device wants to connect to the SCANNDY unit, the other device will be prompt to input the access key. If the access key send by the other device does not match with the SCANNDY access key, it is not possible for the other device to establish the connection.
