Error Messages

The meter gives specific error mes-
sages when it detects a problem with
its internal functions, the test strip,
or the testing procedure. However,
improper use may cause an inaccurate
ERROR
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Blood was applied to 1. Clean the meter. Repeat the test
the wrong side of the
test strip, or
2. Not enough blood is
on the test strip, or
result without producing an error
message or a symbol. When error mes-
sages appear, note the error number,
turn off the meter, then resolve the
error by following these instructions:
WHAT TO DO
with a new test strip, applying
blood to the pink test square.
2. Repeat the test with a new test
strip. Apply a larger drop of blood
to the pink test square and
verify that the confirmation
dot on the back of the test strip
has turned completely blue.
