Maintenance GH 3500 Checking engine oil level Place the machine upright on a flat surface. Remove any dirt around the oil level dipstick. Remove the oil level dipstick (1) and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth. Screw the oil level dipstick all the way back in and pull it out again.

Place the machine upright on a flat surface. Bring the engine to a hand warm temperature, either by letting it cool down or running it until it is warm.
