POWER PROTECTION MODE

All ACX models with firmware revision 2.53 or higher are furnished with an over power
protection mode. If for whatever reason the ACX source is delivering considerably more true
power than its maximum rating, the unit will shut down to protect itself from damage. Trip levels
are typically set at 130% of rating and a two second delay is imposed to avoid nuisance tripping
during temporary overloads or power inrush conditions.
If the total output power drawn by the load exceeds the power trip level in Watts, the output is
turned off and the following error message will be displayed:
The power protection trip level differs for each ACX model as shown in the table below.

Upon a triggering an over power fault, the ACX can be cleared by pressing the CLEAR button
and the output can be re-enabled using the OUTPUT ENABLE button.
